BECAUSE YOU DESERVE IT

OK, I admit –this isn’t really original.

I got the AZZKIKR deal from Con Air.

That’s what’s on the number plate of that 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray belonging to DEA Agent Duncan Malloy.

You know the one.

“Beautiful? Sunsets are beautiful. Newborn babies are beautiful. This? This is fucking SPECTACULAR!”

Agent Malloy has a reputation as a “real piece of work” – hence the AZZKIKR plates on his ride.

So I kinda like the ring it has to it.

Still, while I don’t think he really deserved the accolade – he is a bit of a punk – one thing he got right is that ass kicking is part and parcel of getting ahead in life.

At some point in time, you are just going to have to get on top of things.

And smack them till they squeal.

No choice.

Oh I know what you are thinking.

You’re thinking that you don’t have what it takes to do such a daunting task.

“Impossible. I can’t do that. Not for me. I don’t know how.” Etc., etc., etc.

Well, think that way NO MORE!!

The good thing is that everyone has what it takes to be an AZZKIKR.

Oh yes, we do!!

We just don’t know it – because we have been told over and over again that we DON’T have what it takes.

Seriously, we have had other people’s insecurities and dogmas poured into our ears so many times, it finally makes us believe what we are told – that we are unworthy or incapable of greatness.

This negativity can come from the most surprising sources – even family and friends.

And they may not even be aware that they are doing it.

It’s just what they know and what they themselves have been taught – and this pessimism is transferred around faster than you can say “Don’t touch my muffins!”.

A vicious cycle at its most daunting.

 

STAND UP AND BE COUNTED

Well, I am here to tell you THIS IS NOT TRUE.

Why does it even have to be true?

Who defines our own limits if not ourselves?

You see, those limits are the lines we draw in the sands of our own mind.

Once we draw them, they box us in and make us a prisoner.

We can never – yes NEVER – go beyond the limits we have defined for ourselves.

It’s a psychological bear trap.

And no, it doesn’t matter if the limit is well within what we would easily be able to accomplish with the right mindset and the right help – if we tell ourselves it cannot be done, it cannot be done.

Women are especially vulnerable to this terribly flawed school of thought.

We live in a society that muzzles women. Sells them impossible ideals. And then destroys them for not being able to keep up.

I say HELL NO to that!!

Women are capable of unimagined greatness.

Yes I am talking to YOU!

Don’t EVER let anyone tell you different.

Being a woman means you have to power to achieve incredible success.

So, this is the time to celebrate the power of being female.

And to stop believing what you are told about not being able to do things.

You can be 101% woman and STILL knock the socks off the planet.

Oh HELL YEAH to that one!!

How can I be so sure?

Because I see it done every day.

The ladies who come to The Forge start out just as timid and laid back as everyone else.

They have all been told the same thing – that they cannot achieve, and that they should not dream because they cannot and will not succeed.

But when we point them in the right direction and show them the power they truly have inside – it’s like switching on a rocket.

Even after 23 years of coaching, I am still amazed at what our girls can do – when they really want to.

It’s like…MAGIC!

So, ladies, I am calling you out.

The time for greatness is – RIGHT NOW!

Open your eyes, your ears, and your heart.

And above all, be coachable.

Once you believe in you, you will share the magic.

That magic is free for everyone – as long as you are willing to go for it and do what it takes.

Now, I didn’t say it was easy (it isn’t) but I am saying it’s absolutely worth it.

Now go out there ladies and make some noise!!

Do just ONE THING today – just ONE thing – you thought that you could never do.

It’s the way to greatness – and all the freedom that it brings.

Because you absolutely and completely deserve to be an AZZKIKR!
