Stop Pointing Fingers And Roll Your Sleeves Up!
Let’s cut to the chase.
I meet way too many people who are too quick to point the finger of blame at anyone or anything for whatever they don’t like in their lives.
With almost all of my clients, it’s never their fault. It’s always someone or something else.
So here is what I tell them.
A lot of people don’t know it (or are afraid to admit it) but…THEY are the ones in charge of their own destiny.
There is a reason they don’t want to stop pointing fingers – and that’s because as soon as they do, it will mean they need to assume responsibility for their actions and the consequences.
And it’s a lot easier to blame someone else isn’t it?
As long as it’s someone else’s fault, that means I can get to sit on the coach of self-pity, prop myself up with cushions of entitlement, and stuff my face with feigned righteousness.
However…if it’s MY responsibility, then it’s MY problem and that means it’s MY duty to put the work in to fix it.
Well, I have news for you.
There is no “if”.
It IS your damn responsibility.
Get up off your lazy couch and start doing something with your life.
Start off by taking better care of yourself.
Stop accepting average. We could do so much with our dreams if we just decided to believe in them so much, we would just do anything to make them happen.
And that means blood, sweat and tears. So get ready to bleed for whatever it is you want to achieve.
Nothing good will happen without exquisite hard work.
If you just can’t do that by yourself, get someone to help you. Find a coach and mentor who can walk with you along the way.
Listen to them and get things done.
But do SOMETHING about it.
Even if it’s just one small step a day.
