So, one fine day Phil and Laura came to the BodyForge.

They looked like they needed a workout.

Not the kind of workout they regularly got at their own gym or whatever other gym they were accustomed to.

They looked like they needed something extra.

In fact, these guys looked like they needed some BodyForge badass discipline.

Something they could take back home to Germany and speak in awe about to family and friends.

So that’s exactly what we did.

And, when all was said and done, this is what they had to say about it.

THE BODYFORGE TSUNAMI

We both had a great time and workout at the Body Forge. Although we were just there for one session, we were just blown away by the experience.

These guys pull no punches at giving you the absolute best.

From the very first second, we realized that there‘s that certain sort of aura at the Body Forge which fascinated us and made it a very special place to sweat and give everything we had.

An aura of respect, ambition and dedication which for sure you don‘t find in every gym.

It’s not just a well-equipped, well-organized and really clean gym.

In our opinion this place really is a forge for your body.

And, if you are striving for higher goals, this is the place that will definitely help you to reach them.

Rest assured, it‘s not a place for the non-dedicated and the lazy ones. As soon as we were in, we were given the code of conduct about how to respect the facility and the other members, which left us with no questions about how the place was run.

And then we were given a workout to remember.

What really stands out about The Forge are the coaches – Mike and Don. They make this place really special, not just by delivering instructions but by really taking care and respect everyone who is there. It was something we experience first-hand and their knowledge and dedication absolutely blew us away.

Coach Don does not just love coaching and all things fitness.

The man IS coaching personified.

In our opinion, he totally embodies what coaching and knowledge should be about.

We learnt so much from him in a couple of hours on just about every subject encompassing health and fitness that we didn’t want to leave.

This is what we really appreciated and what reminds us of why we started and fell in love with the sport in the first place – because it’s not just about lifting weights and strengthening your body. It‘s equally about enhancing your mind, which is the most fascinating aspect of this lifestyle.

Coach Don‘s mindset is all about that and this is what makes The BodyForge absolutely unique.

We really enjoyed the training session to the full and therefore want to thank the team very much for the experience at the Body Forge.

If we got this much from just one session, imagine what working out there on a regular basis can give you.

This is the kind of thing we have become famous for.

It’s a bold claim, I know.

But it’s definitely one which I am more than eager to back up.

THIS IS MIKE’S STORY

Take Mike for example.

He sustained an injury almost 10 years ago that reduced his arm mobility to the point where he could not raise it above his shoulder.

After that amount of time, and at almost 60 years of age, he thought nothing could bring his arm back to normal again.

Well, we thought otherwise. (You know, we have that BodyForge attitude…)

In just a month of daily sessions, not only had he regained most of the range of motion back in his arm, but he was also stronger, leaner and happier to boot.

At The Forge, we are proud and honoured to be a second home to a lot of families who train together.

Truth be told, it is pretty unusual to find families repping it out with each other. More often than not, it’s mostly just one person from a family that is interested in working out.

The fact that we have so many here is a tribute to how completely different we are to any other facility and how it reflects our passionate belief that a family who trains together, grows together.

So we decided to take some time out to mark a special moment in honor of the fathers, mothers, sons and daughters who train together here.

These are the people who prefer to spend an hour less at work to spend an hour more in each other’s company.

These are the people who argue together about set sequences and correct form.

Who encourage each other till the last exercise is done.

Who grow closer and become stronger together with every rep cranked out at The Forge.

Because reps here are special. It’s hard to define it, but the spirit of camaraderie, support and closeness here is a trademark we cherish.

As soon as Jan told me he was in a little competition between friends for a max bench press, I was hooked.

You see, I have this competition bug that gnaws inside me.

In anything I do, I go in to win.

And I want all my BodyForge clients to win too.

And when I hear the word “competition”…well, I’m a sucker.

So Jan said he wanted to add a little more poundage to his bench.

Hell yeah! I’m in.

He said he was too old and he wasn’t expecting much.

Well Jan, you better be taking because I’m giving. What’s old?

He also said he would be happy to improve just a little.

Damn, what’s wrong with improving just a lot, Jan?

He just wanted to show his friends he could still improve.

Jan, my friend, we are going to smack your bench press buddies around royally. Forget the apologies.

So we got down to business. I had less than 2 weeks to work with but we would make it things happen. You better believe it.

This is how we stirred up some big trouble in little Norway.

How Magic Happened To Me In One Week At The BodyForge

“We’ve just returned home from a holiday in the Gozo sunshine.

While I was there, I wanted to train at The BodyForge. I had heard some pretty impressive thins about the place and I really wanted to try it out.

My actual goal was this. At 47 years of age, I have been struggling to increase my bench press max in order to win a little competition we have running among friends. If I could go there and add a couple of pounds to my max, I would be happy.

So I went to give it a shot.

The truth is that this is the best gym I’ve ever been to. Forget the fact that it is the biggest, best equipped facility in Gozo. This alone would make it the only choice for those serious about their training.

However, what puts it completely on its own platform is the dynamo running all the high voltage in there – Coach Don.

When I told him about our little competition, he immediately wanted to help. So he kept an eye on me.

And you don’t kid around with this guy. He takes things very seriously, keeps you on your toes, lights a fire under you and helps you perform to the best of your ability.

He believes in you from the word go.

This is something that made a huge difference to me.

Thanks to his professional advice, improvement of technique in an inspiring environment, I managed to increase my bench press by 15 pounds in only 10 days!

Please note that at my age, and considering I thought I had almost maxed out on the bench, this is nothing short of amazing.

This is coaching the way it should be.

I can’t wait to blow my friends out of the water with my new press record. I am also sure that in the next few weeks, I can add even more to my max with the new information and improved technique I have.
