How To Turn Iron Into Steel
We had the pleasure of having Keith over for a couple of days. It’s always nice to know that we can have a positive impact with someone, even in a very short period of time.
Especially when someone is disciplined, dedicated…and a rocker at heart to boot.
We asked Keith if he had enjoyed his time at The Forge. Here is what he said.
“2 ROUNDS AT THE FORGE”
What does one do with a 3 day break in Gozo and missed workouts to catch up with?
You get yourself to the best fitness facility you can find that’s what.
So I find myself on the way to The BodyForge to do 2 workouts on 2 separate days. As soon as I get there, I immediately meet the man behind The Forge – Donatello. Big D has been around a fair while, has competed in bodybuilding beyond our shores and is a man of much knowledge about lifting weights and everything involved with that subject. A really nice guy and ready to help in all you need.
The Forge is very well equipped and has some not so common machines using cantilever loaded plates for resistance. What stands out in these machines is the ability to go quite heavy while the normal pin machines are usually a bit more limited. There is no exercise you can imagine that cannot be done there and that is one of the many positive points about The BodyForge.
Another ace is that The Don is also there to support in any way possible during the workout, giving his advice on correct technique and positions on exercises where necessary. It makes a huge difference to have someone so knowledgeable around correcting and motivating you.
The feeling of camaraderie there is perfect. The BodyForge members make you feel welcome immediately. It’s also reassuring to know that Don is quite strict in the upkeep of the gym, insisting on keeping all clean and tidy and taking care of the equipment.
I enjoyed both workouts and look forward to getting back to The Forge as soon as I am in Gozo again. Thanks Donatello and happy workouts to all those who would like to attend.
